News from The South Pennines Group

Maintained by David Simcock and Rosemary Scholes

Here is news of the first meetings in 2010 of the SOUTH PENNINES GROUP of our Community.

Saturday 27th February, 2 - 4 pm.

Our special guest will be David Pott, who contributed articles to ’Aidan Way’ issues 51 and 56 about the Staffordshire town of Stone and his St Chad’s Way project.

This long distance route will begin at St Chad’s Church in Bagnall (a village in Stoke-on-Trent) and end in Lichfield, St Chad’s base in Mercia.

This topic will be of great interest to many in the North and Central Staffordshire areas and so we are meeting in a larger venue than usual and publicising the event in local churches.

The venue is the PARISH CENTRE adjacent to MILTON PARISH CHURCH in Stoke-on-Trent. This is on the A5009 about 1 mile south of its junction with the A53 - roughly opposite the junction with Haslemere Avenue.
